Ashleigh is back and we are all so HAPPY!!! I think she finally realized how much her little brother loves her when she got home and he saw her for the first time in a week! Words can not describe their reunion - of course a picture would have but I didn't have my camera ready :-)
Ashleigh got home on Friday night and we went to 2 consignment sales on Saturday. We really LOADED up on stuff for the twins and for Adam. I am pretty sure we now have more toys than the daycare but I am a sucker for a good deal - even if it's on stuff I don't really need :-)
It's so hard for me to know what I NEED for the twins and what would be nice to have. When I have help I won't mind doing laundry everyday but once everyone leaves and I go back to work I don't really have time for that so everyone has to have enough stuff to get them through the week so I can do laundry on the weekends. After this weekend I think I will be OK. I have tons of bottles now and a large bag of additional clothes for the twins so I think I am all set. I have a couple more consignment sales to go to before they come so I'll probably find a couple more deals here and there :-)
Adam is all over the place! I can't believe how fast he is! He is trouble too - he looks for the thing that is most dangerous and goes right for it. I am surprised at how well we've kept things picked up, vacuumed, etc. We haven't had any "incidents" yet but we didn't get the locks on the kitchen cabinets this weekend and that is his new obsession. I showed him the Tupperware cabinet and let him play in there but I try to keep it distracted from all of the other cabinet's. He isn't really good at moving out the way to open the cabinets so he gives up fairly quickly in trying :-)
Lastly, the twins are doing fine. At my last check up they were between 1.5 lbs and 2.0 lbs and seem to be developing well. They have fingernails and eyelashes now - so they say (I couldn't see them) but they are getting more and more crowded in there and hence causing me a little ore discomfort but at least I get constant confirmation that they are doing OK by the gentle kicking back and forth :-)
Today is Adam's first day in the big boy room. I am a little sad to see my baby boy moving up but I think it will be good for him. There are so many new babies in his class that take up so much extra time the teacher really didn't have time to play with the older babies. In his new class they have time to play with all of the babies and all of them are either crawling or walking so it will be good for Adam to see other kids doing those things. Of course along with this new class come kids with teeth who don't know that they shouldn't bite people so we will have to keep an eye out for that. Adam still only has 1 tooth so he's not much of a threat just yet :-)
This weekend was another weekend full of playing Settlers of Catan! I was a responsible adult this time though and got all my house work done before I even started playing on Saturday so I was able to play several games between Sat & Sun and I didn't have to stay up late last night to finish up my weekend chores.
YEAH FOR BEING A RESPONSIBLE ADULT THIS WEEKEND!!!
