It's been awhile ...

So I could just ease back into posting and not make note of the couple month's that I've taken off or I could just come right out and make excuses for why I haven't kept everyone up to date on all of the kids but I think I'll just try to catch everyone up and make more of an effort to do better from here on out :-)

So I want to start with Ashleigh!!! Last week Ashleigh was in her first Middle School play and words can not describe how proud we all were of her. Grandma Jayne flew in from NJ and Grandpa B came up from Elberton and of course Mom & Dad were there too but we were all so proud of her. Special thanks to Aunt Deanna who watched Adam and Andrew so we could all go and see Ashleigh's play without interruption :-) Ashleigh did an AWESOME job and if I can figure out how to put video clips on my blog then I will add a clip as soon as possible. So after the play we all went to Chili's (Ashleigh's choice) and it was a really nice night. Last night it got even better!!!! Lat night we went to the academy awards for the play and Ashleigh was not only nominated for the BEST ACTRESS but she WON!!! We are all so proud of her and we encourage her to continue her pursuit of drama even though she isn't sure she wants to do it again next year because they are planning to do a musical.

Now on to Adam or as we commonly call him ... #2!! Adam is such a wonderful busy little critter. He is learning new words all the time! He got a sand table from Grandma Jayne and a lot of other outside toys that mommy has been picking up from yard sales! Adam loves to play outside, play with his Lego's inside and do anything he can to drive mommy crazy! He's finally to the stage in his life where he understands what no means but he is also at the stage where he doesn't think he has to listen to it so we are working on that process. All in all Adam is a really sweet little guy who adors his big sister and tolerates his little brother :-)

Finally we get to Andrew or as we like to call him ... #3 - we also call him Poop-Stick but not as often as we call him #3 :-) Andrew is doing very well. He is done with all of the specialty doctors and off all of his medicines. He's growing well and appears to be right on track and a bit ahead of schedule for his corrected age (corrected age is the age that he would be had he been born closer to his due date). Andrew is 6 months old but correct is only about 12 weeks old. He was recently evaluated for developmental delays and he passes all of his milestones with flying colors! He smiles, laughs and reaches for things. He's getting bigger and bigger everyday!!

As for oyur sunmmer plans ... Ash is almost out of school and she is going to be volunteering at the boys school reading stories and working on art projects with some of the older classes. Ash and I are going to go to 6 Flags next weekend and it will be the first time I've left Travis with both boys so please be sure to pray for him or them however you choose to look at it :-) Memorial Day weekend we are going to Elberton for a family reunion which we are all looking forward to because we get to see all of our cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents!! Papa & CiCi (Travis' dad & stepmom) are coming to visit in June as well as Grandma Jayne, Great Aunt Janice, Great Aunt Judy and cousin Ty!!! Other than that we have a very uneventful summer planned - though we rarely have uneventful days in our family :-)

Sounds like June is going to be a hectic time around your house!! We are fine tuning our plans and are really excited about coming to see everyone! It is so good to hear that all the kids are doing so well. Especially Ashleigh's Oscar performance! Pretty crafty idea, teaching at a "boys" school!! I will be in touch soon with an update.
